Dagmar Narusson, a research fellow in social innovation at the University of Tartu, is managing an international CARe project on behalf of the Institute of Social Studies. The project develops and pilots recovery-oriented training programs in the field of mental health. Two training modules are already open for registration, which is open until 15 August. Later there will be launched trainings for leaders who wish to design their organization's activities in accordance with recovery principles, and for trainers who will educate practitioners in the future.
The first training, which will take place online, will give participants basic knowledge about mental health recovery, typology of recovery, and the recovery-oriented approach.
The aim of the second training, which will take place in Prague, Czech Republic, is to empower individuals, professionals, teams, and communities in the field of mental health to become innovators in the field and enhance their abilities in providing relational recovery-oriented care and support in different settings.
The CARe project is being carried out by the University of Tartu, Utrecht University of Applied Sciences, and Windesheim University of Applied Sciences in collaboration with the Estonian Psychosocial Rehabilitation Association, the CARe Network, and the Czech Centre for Mental Health Care Development.
