Hea Euroopa Sotsiaaluuringu sõber

Palju õnne uue aasta puhul! See on ka oluline aasta ESS jaoks.

Nimelt algab 2023. aastal uus ESS andmete kogumise voor! Loodame, et ka Eestil läheb kõik hästi, kuigi praegu ei ole 2023 andmete kogumise eelarve veel koos. Kõik abikäed ja mõtted on siinkohal teretulnud!

  1. 2022. aasta jooksul ilmus 120 kirjutist Eesti ESS andmetega – vaata täpsemalt Eesti ESS kodulehelt https://uhiskond.ut.ee/et/sisu/euroopa-sotsiaaluuring
  2. 2023. aasta alguses on ilmumas Eesti autorite kogumik, kus 12 Eesti teadlast analüüsivad Eesti elu. Aga sellest siis jooksvalt tulevikus!
  3. 2022. aastal said kasutajatele kättesaadavaks ESS 10. vooru andmed. Nimelt juunis said avalikuks 10 riigi andmed (sh Eesti). 2022 aasta lõpus  täienes ESS 2021 vooru andmebaas veel 15 riigi andmetega. Veel 6 riiki – UK, Belgia, Iirimaa, Küpros, Iisrael, Läti – andmed peaksid saama avalikuks 2023 aasta kevadel.
  4. Seega kokku on ESS 10 voorus 31 riigi andmed.
  5. Kuues riigis – Austria, Saksamaa, Poola, Serbia, Hispaania, Rootsi – koguti andmeid koroona pandeemia tõttu isetäidetaval meetodil veebi- ja postiküsitlusega. Kuna andmete kogumise meetoditel on oma spetsiifilised mõjud andmetele, tähendab see, et nende kuue riigi andmeid ei lisata kõiki voore ühendavasse ESS andmebaasi. Loe täpsemalt ESS10_note_for_data_users.pdf (europeansocialsurvey.org)
  6. NB! 2027. aastast alates kogutakse andmeid kõigis ESS riikides isetäidetavate meetoditega.
  7. Mais 2022 ületas ESS andmeid kasutavate inimeste arv maailmas 200 000 piiri, sh Eestis on kasutajaid üle 3000.
  8. All on ka ülevaade septembrist detsembrini ilmunud Eesti andmetega publikatsioonidest.

Heade uue aasta soovidega

Mare Ainsaar
