On 22 February, from 12:15 to 13:45, Gretel Juhansoo and Inger Klesment, media literacy experts from the BECID engagement centre, will give a public lecture „Advancing the digital media literacies of the youth: pracademic approaches“, in Room 204 at Lossi 36.
Gretel Juhansoo and Inger Klesment are two young researchers and media literacy experts who have created impactful practical interventions and activities to update and develop children's and teens' digital media and information literacies. In their public talk they will be talking about two specific projects and their theoretical foundations and the practical matters of creating something from nothing.

Inger Klesment is a media literacy expert specializing in teaching internet safety through movement and role-playing games to children aged 5-10.
Gretel Juhansoo is a third-year bachelor's student studying journalism and communication at the University of Tartu. She works as a communications assistant at the Baltic Engagement Centre for Combating Information Disorders (BECID), where she is involved in various media literacy projects and interventions aimed at enhancing the media literacy knowledge of different generations.
